A 30 year old man assaulted his 54 year old father with a knife in a stabbing attack in Bang Lamung district, Chon Buri.

The father, 54 year old Udon (surname withheld) was found severely injured with 10 stab wounds in front of their residence. The stabbing attack was reportedly committed by his son Adisak (surname withheld), who suffers from mental health issues. The act has left the local community in a state of shock.

The police, including Deputy Superintendent Suriya Klaharn, and emergency services were swiftly on the scene of the stabbing attack. They found Udon naked, lying in a pool of blood, with wounds to his left ribcage, genital area and numerous injuries across his body. Emergency services administered first aid before urgently transporting him to the hospital.

Adisak’s 18 year old niece, Pornaphat, was present when the stabbing attack happened. She revealed that she was cooking outside while her uncle was bathing at the back of the house when she heard her uncle’s cries for help.

Fearing for her safety, she hurriedly drove off to alert the police, with Adisak following behind her and subsequently surrendering to the officers.

Pornaphat further disclosed that Adisak imagined himself to be the son of King Naresuan, had an aversion to Khmer people and often suspected others to be Khmer and intended to harm him. This stemmed from his severe drug addiction, which had seen him undergo treatment and improve after ongoing medication.

However, Adisak considered that he had recovered and stopped taking his medicine, leading up to this horrific stabbing attack, reported KhaoSod.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Nawin Sinthurat, Superintendent of Bang Lamung Police Station, ordered a thorough investigation. Adisak was detained for drug testing and the collection of evidence including blood traces and latent fingerprints.

Meanwhile, Udon remains in a coma under close medical supervision. Adisak, along with the fruit-peeling knife used in the assault, will be handed over to the investigators at Bang Lamung police station for further legal proceedings.
