Police arrested an 80 year old Thai man after he defended his female business partner against accusations of an affair during an interview on a television news programme. Netizens criticised the police, claiming they treated the 80 year old unfairly.

The accused Thai woman, Pimon Panwisai, sought help from non-profit organisation Saimai Survive and various news agencies after Suay accused her of having an affair with the 80 year old business partner, Su. Su was Suay’s ex-husband. Su also demanded 2.5 million baht in compensation.

Pimon insisted she was innocent and successfully won her case against Suay in court. However, Suay continued to harass her and filed multiple false complaints over the past seven years, which eventually led to the death of Pimon’s husband due to stress.

Pimon and Su were invited to an interview on the Thok Mai Tiang (Discussing, Not Arguing) news programme on Channel 7 yesterday, August 20.

During the interview, Su admitted to having had a secret affair with Suay’s older sister while they were in a relationship and living in the United States. As a result, Suay sued him and demanded 40 million baht in compensation. The case has since been resolved, and Su returned to Thailand.

According to Su, Suay wanted all of his assets and therefore made the false accusation against Pimon. Su stated that he had nothing left to give and was now living off money borrowed from friends. He also had to sell his car to the 37 year old Pimon to fund his legal battles against Suay. Su revealed he had to defend his business partner against his ex-wife.

“I saw Pimon coming forward to seek justice and felt sorry for her, so I stepped forward to defend her innocence. I want you (Suay) to stop doing this, at least for the sake of our children.”

Towards the end of the interview, officers from Rattanathibet Police Station intervened to arrest Su. When asked about the arrest warrant, the police were unable to produce one but clarified that an elderly woman, believed to be Suay, requested Su’s arrest.

The programme host, Tin Chokkamonkit, and lawyer Ronnarong Kaewphet accompanied Su to the police station to assist him.

Ronnarong later revealed that Su knew he would likely be arrested if he attended the interview but he chose to help Pimon and decided to go through with it.

The legal charge leading to Su’s arrest remains unclear but Channel 7 reported that Su would be able to secure bail if he had enough money. Many netizens expressed interest in helping Su but there has been no update on his condition at this time.

ORIGINAL STORY: Thai woman seeks justice after false affair accusation with business partner

A Thai woman is seeking justice after being falsely accused of having an affair with her 80 year old business partner by his 70 year old ex-wife. The victim claimed that her husband recently died from stress after over seven years of a legal battle with the bitter old woman.

The 37 year old Thai woman, Pimon Panwisai, sought help from non-profit organisation Saimai Survive after being embroiled in a legal dispute with the vindictive elderly woman for over seven years, with no resolution in sight.

Pimon explained that she invested in a restaurant in 2017 in the Mueang Thong neighbourhood of Nonthaburi province, near Bangkok, alongside her business partner. This partner later transferred his shares in the restaurant to his younger brother, who is now 80 years old.

Unexpectedly, her business partner’s ex-wife, who is 70 years old, filed a lawsuit against Pimon, accusing her of having an affair with her ex-husband. The old woman later divorced her husband, 10 years before Pimon even knew him, making the lawsuit perplexing for Pimon.

Pimon stated that the old woman submitted a photograph of a female employee talking to the elderly man to the court, claiming that Pimon was the woman in the picture. The woman demanded 2.5 million baht in compensation from Pimon and 50 million baht from her ex-husband.

Pimon insisted that she never had an affair with her business partner and that the woman in the photograph was not her.

Fortunately, the court dismissed the case and later charged the elderly woman with providing false testimony to the authorities, sentencing her to two years in prison. However, the punishment was suspended for two years.

Despite her defeat in court, the elderly woman has continued to file new lawsuits against Pimon over the past seven years. The old woman even accused Pimon of crashing her car into someone, leading police to come to her home for an arrest.

Pimon’s husband became stressed over the ongoing issue and later died. Her mother-in-law also mistakenly believed that Pimon committed adultery with the old man.

Pimon wants the dispute between her and the old woman to end, so she sought assistance from Saimai Survive. The organisation plans to contact Rattanathibet Police Station to discuss the details of each legal charge filed against Pimon.

Additionally, the organisation urged the elderly woman to cease her actions, as there was no relationship between her and her ex-husband any longer.
