Actresses take the stage to accuse manager of sexual assault

Several actresses have come forward as victims of sexual assault perpetrated by a male celebrity manager. Three of them have taken steps to pursue legal action against the accused.

Thai social media influencer Kantouch “Gun” Pongpaiboonwet accompanied the three actresses to file a complaint against their former manager at Kannayao Police Station yesterday, May 22. The three actresses included 27 year old Urucha “Proud” Sirichaiwongsakul, 27 year old Tanaporn “Mine” Rattanasasiwimon, and 25 year old Celine “Khaimook” Phongphan.

The actresses revealed that their manager sexually assaulted them by touching, hugging, or kissing them without their permission. He also threatened to withdraw his support in the entertainment industry and withheld work from them to prevent them from exposing the assault.

The actresses discovered they were not alone after talking to each other. Subsequently, they cancelled their contracts with the manager and exposed his behaviours.

Some netizens claimed that the manager in question is Sam, a former manager of well-known actor and host Matthew Paul Deane, but this information has not yet been officially confirmed.

Khaimook revealed to MGR Online that the manager requested to hold her hands and hugged her when she was alone with him in the car. She added that he once kissed her on the shoulder and forehead in front of a production team.

According to Khaimook, the manager not only assaulted her but also expressed jealousy when she worked with actors, forbidding her from socialising with male friends or following actors on social media.

Initially, Khaimook thought the manager was gay but later realised this was not the case when she met his girlfriend.

Proud revealed that the manager kissed her while drunk, claiming it was to teach her an acting skill. Mine disclosed that the manager inappropriately touched her leg even in her boyfriend’s presence.

According to MGR Online, at least seven actresses fell victim to the manager’s sexual assaults. It is believed that more actresses will gradually file complaints with the police.

As of now, the identity of the manager has not been officially revealed, and the police have not yet summoned him for questioning.
