  2. Passport: Valid Thai passport, with a validity of more than 3 months beyond the return date.
  3. Identity photos: Two recent photos that meet the standards (white background, 3.5 cm x 4.5cm)
  4. Travel insurance: Insurance certificate covering medical expenses for a minimum of 30 000 EUR for the entire duration of the stay in the Schengen area.
  5. Plane tickets: Flights booking (both ways)
  6. (Without sponsor) Proof of accommodation: hotel bookings for the entirety of the stay
  7. Explanatory Letter: Details of the planned itinerary in France, including dates, places and people you are going to visit.
  8. Evidence of ties to Thailand: Documents such as letters from employers, proof of education, rental agreements, property certificates, etc., to demonstrate the intention to return to Thailand after the trip.
  9. Proofs of financial means: Demonstration of the financial resources necessary for the visa demand (bank statements, pay slips, employment contracts, etc…).
    65 EUR per day of stay with hotel bookings or 120 EUR per day of stay without hotel bookings are necessary (if you don’t have a sponsor). The equivalent in THB is accepted.

  1. “Attestation d’accueil” if you are accomodated by a French resident.
  2. Letter of invitation: Letter explaining the details of the invitation, the dates of the stay, the relationship between you and the candidate, and your commitment to cover expenses during the stay.
  3. Proof of financial means: Demonstration of the financial resources necessary to support the candidate during their stay (bank statements, pay slips, employment contracts, etc…).
  4. Passport or ID Card + (if applicable) residency card: Proof of residency from the sponsor
  5. Proof of relationship: Marriage certificates, photos together, screenshots of daily conversations, money transfer slips or any other documents proving the relationship.

The “Attestation d’Accueil” :

The attestation d’accueil is an official and mandatory document if you invite a foreigner to reside with you in France. It is issued by the city town hall of your place of residence.

Steps to obtain this document :

  1. Go to your city town hall and ask for the list of documents needed to obtain the “attestation d’accueil”
  2. Prepare the required documents from the list and submit the completed folder to your city town hall
  3. Pay 30 EUR with tax stamp (cost of the document)
  4. Wait for their response and the stamp from the mayor (from 1 day to small villages to 8 weeks for big cities)
  5. Pick up the stamped document at the due date.

  1. Conditions to Meet: You must have enough space to accommodate your guest and sufficient financial resources to provide for his needs during his stay.
  2. Information Required: Provide accurate information about you, the guest, and the details of the stay. Specifying the dates of the stay is required at this step.
  3. Commitments: By signing the certificate, you agree to cover all costs related to the guest’s stay during that period. Violating that vow consists of a breach of the law.
