Following the recent cluster of Covid-19 infections in Bangkok’s Bang Khae district, city officials plan to vaccinate 6,000 people in the area who are at risk of infection.

Starting tomorrow, 500 to 600 people in the district will be vaccinated against the coronavirus each day, according to Bangkok Metropolitan Administration spokesperson Pongsakorn Kwanmuang. Inoculations will take place at hospitals and mobile units.

Bangkok officials expect to receive 240,000 more doses of the Chinese-made Sinovac vaccine this week. Nation Thailand says the doses will vaccinate 120,000 healthcare workers in areas in Bangkok considered the highest risk of infection.

In Bang Khae, 224 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the past week. 6 markets in the area have been shut down for cleaning.

    Chinese vaccine of course
But it only works on Chinese
Drop in the Bucket 70 million Thai
As long as the rich and those in power get the jab that is all that matters
But The Chinese Vaccine no way
Soon as a vaccine is available in Thailand to buy I will get it for my wife
    But not touch anything Chinese
    Good Luck Thailand

There has just been the first death from Covid here in Cambodia.
Some pubs have to shut at 8 P.M.
There have been about 800 infected so far. Most have recovered.
On March the 3rd Cambodia received 324.000 of the AstraZeneka vaccine.
Last night we slipped in the side door of a shuttered closed American bar, and there we were talking about prohibition in the USA.
