Thavorn Hotels & Resorts receives Thailand MICE Venue Standard Award

Thavorn Hotels & Resorts is proud to announce its certification of Thailand MICE Venue Standard (TMVS) by Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB).

The certification assesses venues in three key areas – physical, technological, and service requirements. Certified venues appear on an Approved List and are publicised worldwide as venues that meet international standards.

MICE – Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions

According to TCEB, during the 2018 fiscal year, Thailand is expected to welcome 30.1 million MICE travellers, generating MICE revenue of up to 174 billion baht, with over 50,000 businessmen participate in almost 1,000 MICE events in Phuket annually. This certification represents a great direction for Thavorn Hotels & Resorts, as internationally recognised standards is one of the key factors for organisers when choosing venues for their MICE events.

“It is a pleasure to receive the Thailand MICE Venue Standard for meeting spaces at both our properties”, said owner Pat Thavornwongwongse.

“The certification demonstrates our commitment to internationally recognized standards. In fact, we are already looking to certify at the next level with the ASEAN MICE Venue Standard.”

“Phuket represents a gem MICE city of the Andaman, with its beaches and settings, abundant accommodation and facilities, and unique local culture. The wide array of activities and attractions make the island well suited for incentive and team-building functions.”
