PM Prayuth set to visit Phuket
PHUKET: Prime Minister Gen Prayuth Chan-o-cha, who is scheduled to visit Phuket next Friday, has a number of items on his agenda, including the grand opening of the new airport terminal and the regional launch of Startup Thailand.
The following is the itinerary for his visit (some details subject to change):
8:30-9:30am: Grand opening ceremony of the new terminal at Phuket International Airport
10:00 am: Arrival at Duangjitt Resort and Spa in Patong
Welcome speech by Governor Chamroen
Video presentation of Startup Thailand and Digital Thailand
10:10-10:30am: Speech by Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak
10:30-11:00am: Gen Prayuth’s speech on ‘Phuket Smart City and Startup Paradise’
11:00am-12:00 noon: Opening ceremony of Startup Thailand and Digital Thailand 2016
12:00-1:00pm: Break for lunch
1:25-3:25pm: Meeting with representatives from several industries at Phuket Rajabhat University Auditorium
3:25-4:55pm: Meeting with the Office of Strategy Management (OSM Andaman) committee
4:55-5:05pm: Press interviews
The Prime Minister is expected to leave straight for Bangkok after speaking to the press.
