Phuket hospital offers free checkups in honor of HM Queen Sirikit

PHUKET: Phuket residents are invited to sign up for free medical checkups at the Phuket Provincial Hospital on May 31 in honor of HM Queen Sirikit’s 81st birthday later this year.

The first 1,253 Phuket-registered residents to contact the Provincial Hospital (map here) before May 29 can take advantage of one of a number of checkups available.

The hospital will be providing 810 eye sight and cataract checkups for people 60 years old or older; 181 diabetes checkups; 81 cardiac calcium scoring scans; and 81 full medical checkups for qualifying residents 45 years old or older.

“In honor of the HM Queen Sirikit’s 81st birthday on August 12, the Phuket Provincial Hospital will be launching the project on May 31, the hospital’s second anniversary,” said Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization (PPAO) President Paiboon Upatising.
