Miss Grand Thailand 2018 team heads to Phuket stray dog shelter for make-over

77 beauty contestants from the Miss Grand Thailand 2018 headed to the Phuket stray dog shelter for a clean up day in Thalang yesterday (July 1).

Phuket Governor Norraphat Plodthong welcomed the Miss Grand Thailand 2018 contingent to the shelter in the Suan Pa Bang Kanun, Thalang.

Phuket’s Governor says, “Miss Grand Thailand 2018 represents individuals from 77 provinces around the country. They are in Phuket from June 30 to July 9 for a part of their contest activities. The activities include doing community services and to publicise cultural tourism.”

“Currently, there are about 600 stray dogs at the shelter. Beauty contestants are painting the walls and fences around the shelter. ”

Five private sector companies have made donations totaling 1,801,000 baht to the Phuket Sustainable Development Foundation as a part of the shelter’s ongoing improvements.
