Unidentified body found outside Phuket school
PHUKET: Police are working to identify the body of a man found dead in front of Wat Tepnimitr School in Wichit yesterday morning.
“The man looked to be in his 40s and was about 170 centimeters tall,” said Capt Nattaya Supannapong of the Wichit Police.
“We questioned local residents about the man and were told that no one knew him, but many villagers had seen him roaming the area, and sleeping there at night. They also said that he was usually drunk.”
The body showed no signs of a struggle, added Capt Nattaya.
“We believe that he died about 10 hours before he was discovered,” he said.
The body was sent to Vachira Phuket Hospital to determine the cause of death.
“We have yet to receive any missing persons report in our area,” Capt Nattaya said. “However, we will continue to try to uncover the identity of the man.”
