Phuket police hunt slow loris tout on Kata Noi Beach

PHUKET: Karon Police are patrolling the sands of Kata Noi Beach in hopes of netting a slow loris tout who was spotted there yesterday.
Police were alerted to the tout’s activities after being given photographic evidence that was originally sent to the Phuket Gazette by a concerned reader.
“We will search the beach today. If he thinks he can earn money there, I’m sure he’ll return,” said Lt Col Pornnarong Karnonchai of the Karon Police. “We really appreciate information such as this from locals, tourists and the media. Together, we can put a stop to these touts.”
Anyone who spots an animal tout on Kata Noi, Kata or Karon Beach can reach the Karon Police directly at the following numbers: 098-017 9192, 098-013 1191 or 076-396 393.
