Kbank services unavailable for 48 hours starting tomorrow

PHUKET: Kasikorn Bank (Kbank) is urging its customers to prepare for a 48-hour suspension of most of its services, which starts tomorrow night.

The plan to pause banking services for 48 hours to improve the bank system was announced early last week (story here).

“Kasikorn Bank branches will be open per usual on Friday, but we will temporarily close from Saturday to Sunday. All services will be unavailable for 48 hours, except for Kbank credit cards,” said a Kbank representative who declined to be named.

Services will be unavailable starting from 10pm on Friday and will remain so until 10pm on Sunday.

Kbank customers are urged to prepare wisely and manage their deposits, as they will be unable to withdraw cash until services are up and running after the weekend.

“Any banking activities involving Kbank should be done tomorrow or else you will have to postpone it until Monday,” the representative added.
