Google Maps now available for Phuket Classifieds

PHUKET: Initially introduced as a feature in the Gazette Guide, Phuket’s ‘yellow pages’, Google Maps were launched this morning at Phuket’s primary classified marketplace, the Island Trader Online.

Classified advertisers can now pinpoint precisely where the item, property or business they’re advertising is located – a major benefit in a community where postal addresses are often more confounding than enlightening.

The Island Trader Online, a product of the Phuket Gazette newspaper company, is ranked Number One in Google under the search term “Phuket Classifieds” and currently hosts about 4,500 ads, with an average of about 50 new ads posted every day. All ads are focused on Phuket, and those with maps, web links or photographs are published automatically and free of charge in the hard-copy Gazette, which hits streets every Friday afternoon.

To place an ad or view the extensive portfolio of offerings, see the Island Trader Online.
