Airport staff welcome festival arrivals
PHUKET: Phuket International Airport celebrated the Vegetarian Festival by giving souvenirs to the passengers from several flights yesterday afternoon.
The souvenirs were distributed in honor of China’s ‘Golden Week’, also known as China’s National Day.
Phuket International Airport Director Monrudee Gettuphan, together with Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Phuket Office staff, were waiting at the domestic arrival terminal at 3pm to present souvenirs to passengers off flights Air Asia, Bangkok Airways and Thai Airways.
“There were in total about 640 passengers from the flights,” said Ms Monrudee. “We were delighted to welcome them to Phuket’s unique Vegetarian Festival.”
The airport also gave a special welcome to passengers off a Shenzhen Airlines flight that arrived yesterday evening at about 7pm.
