89 monks to make merit for departed king

PHUKET: An early morning Buddhist merit-making ceremony led by 89 monks in honor of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej has been scheduled to take place at Phuket Provincial Hall tomorrow morning.
“The ceremony is scheduled to start at 6:30am. All are invited to join. There will be an alms collection for the monks for which people can contribute fresh and dried food,” said Phuket Vice Governor Teera Anantaseriwidhya.
Schedule:
6:30am: Monks breakfast.
7:00am: Government officers gather.
7:30am: Candle and incense lighting, prayers and blessing from monks, alms giving.
