Brand Andaman ready to start promoting the region

A meeting held at the Phuket City Hall, and hosted by Phuket’s Governor Norraphat, announced that southern provinces are planning to boost tourism with the ‘Andaman’ branding.
Governor Norraphat says, “A research paper has been submitted on the creation of a tourism brand to develop Andaman tourism, related to Phuket tourism infrastructure. The brand will focus on tourist locations and Phuket food.”
“The branding is aimed to increase confidence and awareness in tourists when they are travelling in Phuket and the region. We are sharing ideas to confirm our tourism strong points and answer the needs of visitors and local people. Five Andaman provinces are involved – Phuket, Phang Nga, Krabi, Trang and Satun.”
Budget expenditure is also being discussed to increase tourism-based revenue up to 2020.
