Teenager’s birthday bash turns deadly in brutal Pattaya stabbing

A teenage birthday bash turned into a blood-soaked nightmare when a brutal stabbing left a 17 year old dead in Bang Lamung near Pattaya. The tragic event unravelled after a 19 year old, identified only as Win, allegedly drove a knife straight into young victim, Jeab’s heart.

Police arrested the suspect yesterday, March 13, after the victim succumbed to his injuries at Bang Lamung Hospital. The deadly encounter occurred at a local residence cum boat repair shop.

Win reportedly relived the chilling sequence of events for investigators at the grizzly scene. Blood stains were found near a sofa, along with the murder weapon, a 32-centimetre knife, just a metre away, all wrapped up and ready for police evidence.

The drama kicked off around 11am, during a birthday celebration for the homeowner’s child. Tensions between Win and the victim flared due to an ongoing feud, peppered with insults. The final straw? “You won’t get far in life,” Jeab reportedly jabbed.

Incensed, Win stormed from the party, fetched a knife from the kitchen, and returned to savagely stab the victim, who collapsed on the spot. Though he initially fled, Win made a tearful return after hearing of Jeab’s hospitalisation, phoning his mother before surrendering to police.

Win, recounting a soured friendship stretching back two years, tearfully confessed in front of his dismayed 53 year old mother, Rinyarat. She was shocked by his call, revealing that despite a once-close bond, recent tensions had strained their relationship.

Birthday girl, 18 year old Ororn, had hoped for reconciliation when she invited both to the party. She witnessed their attempt to patch things up but didn’t hear the fatal argument.

After the attack, she quickly rang for help and alerted police, Pattaya News reported.

Win is now in custody at Bang Lamung Police Station, awaiting the legal consequences of his actions.
