Thai school director accused of raping colleague in car
A Thai woman accused the director of a school in the central province of Prachin Buri of raping her in his car on December 23 last year in Nakhon Nayok. She claims to have the suspect’s semen as evidence.
The 29 year old victim, who works as administrative staff at a primary school in Nakhon Nayok, shared her story with news agencies and the public in a bid to seek justice after officers from Mueang Nakhon Nayok Police Station failed to provide her with updates for nearly a month.
The victim revealed that she reported the rape to the police immediately after it occurred, presenting a piece of tissue containing the suspect’s semen, along with 3,000 baht in cash that the rapist gave her, as evidence.
She explained that she and the suspect previously worked at the same school in Nakhon Nayok, where the suspect was a deputy school director at the time.
On the day of the incident, the victim left the school to visit a bank, where the suspect followed her. They met at the bank, and the suspect asked her to withdraw cash on his behalf.
After completing the transaction, the suspect invited the victim to return to the school with him in his car. The victim agreed, but the suspect deviated from the route back to the school, eventually parking near Suphannika Intersection, where he raped her in the vehicle.
The suspect then gave her 3,000 baht in cash, claiming it was a new year’s gift. This action further enraged the victim, who later confided in her husband and filed a police complaint on the same day.
The victim disclosed that the suspect has since moved from Nakhon Nayok to a school in Prachin Buri, where he was promoted to school director. She expressed her desire for him to be punished promptly, fearing he might similarly harm others.
Another administrative staff member from the same school supported the victim’s account, stating that the suspect had sexually harassed colleagues on multiple occasions. She added that the victim had previously shared incidents where the suspect inappropriately touched her.
Police told Channel 3 that they did not ignore the case and are actively investigating. They are awaiting hospital test results to confirm whether the semen belongs to the accused school director and will summon him for questioning once the results are available.
