Thai TikTok users praised a Thai motorcyclist for helping a disabled man in a wheelchair cross a steep bridge in Bangkok.

The female TikToker, @aileen_eenn, shared a video of the incident on Tuesday, March 4 to highlight the generosity of the motorcyclist. She added a caption to the video stating, “Others may not notice your good deeds, but I do.” She also provided further details of the incident in the video.

“A hero doesn’t always have magical powers. Thank you to this man. If I could have parked my car right there, I would have helped him too. All I could do was reduce my speed to make things easier for him.

Everyone has the right to use public roads, whether they are walking, riding motorcycles, or travelling in wheelchairs. I hope the vehicles behind me won’t complain about my slow driving.”

The TikToker also mentioned that she often saw the disabled man in the area. Previously, he used an electric three-wheel vehicle, but she was unsure why he opted for a wheelchair that day. She expressed concerns for his safety and urged his family to take better care of him.

According to the TikTok user, the motorcyclist in the video parked his vehicle and helped push the wheelchair up the bridge. He was about to return to his motorcycle but kept looking back to check on the disabled man, concerned about whether he would be able to descend the bridge safely on his own.

What the motorcyclist feared did happen, as the video showed the wheelchair hitting the footpath on the bridge and losing balance. The motorcyclist rushed back to assist him and safely guided him down the bridge.

Many netizens appreciated the motorcyclist’s kindness and wished him success in life as a reward for his good deeds. However, some warned others to be wary of scammers who exploit sympathy to swindle money.

One woman shared that her disabled neighbour had done something similar to attract attention from passersby.

Others criticised government officials for the inadequate facilities for people with disabilities. They argued that disabled individuals should be able to travel independently, but the lack of proper infrastructure severely limited their mobility.
