A Thai man in Chon Buri admitted to physically assaulting a victim over a 100,000 baht debt but denied attempting to rape the victim’s wife, who is eight months pregnant, claiming he suffers from erectile dysfunction.

The Thai victims sought help from news agencies following the brutal attack and alleged attempted rape by a 46 year old vintage shirt vendor named Toh. The 27 year old man, Thit, and his 25 year old wife, Oi, filed a complaint at Mueang Buriram Police Station yesterday, October 23, although the incident occurred in Chon Buri on October 20.

In an interview with Thai Post, Thit revealed that he first met Toh four months ago. Toh allowed him to take vintage shirts worth approximately 190,000 baht to sell, with the agreement to pay him back later. However, Thit was unable to sell the shirts and could only repay a small portion of the debt.

According to Thit, he already paid Toh around 30,000 baht and arranged a meeting at Toh’s home on October 19 to discuss the remaining 160,000 baht. Thit promised to settle the debt after selling his house but Toh insisted on being paid that day.

Toh then physically assaulted Thit and demanded he find the money. He also ordered Thit’s wife to stay with him as a hostage. Thit stated that he managed to obtain the money by 2pm the next day and retrieved his wife.

Thit thought the matter was resolved but his wife later revealed the details of the attempted rape while she was alone with Toh. According to Oi, Toh touched her leg and solicited sex from her. She refused and pointed out that she was eight months pregnant.

Toh reportedly ignored Oi’s pleas and touched her vagina. She said she begged him to let her go and endured hours of harassment until her husband was able to pay off the debt.

Toh came forward to address the allegations, admitting to assaulting Thit but denying the attempted rape of the pregnant woman. Toh claimed that he suffers from erectile dysfunction, making it impossible for him to have sex with her.

There has been no report on whether the police will summon Toh and the couple for questioning.
