Rayong mother’s mate accused of battering girl over blame game

A Thai woman yesterday beat a friend’s 12 year old daughter at a house in the eastern province of Rayong. The alleged aggressor accused the victim of spoiling her daughter and encouraging her to meet with friends without her mother’s permission.
Several Thai news agencies shared footage of the incident, showing the 39 year old woman attacking the young girl outside a residence, reportedly located in the Pluak Daeng district of Rayong. The attacker is the mother of a girl wearing a black T-shirt, while the victim is her daughter’s friend.
In the video, the attacker repeatedly beats the victim while berating her and other teenagers present at the scene for supposedly leading her daughter astray. A man wearing a dark blue T-shirt, reported to be the attacker’s friend, is seen approaching the girl in the black shirt and scolding her.
Before leaving the scene, the woman also attempted to slap a teenage boy who was standing fearfully in a corner but ultimately refrained from doing so. She then turned her aggression towards her daughter before departing.
In an interview with the media, the victim recounted how she and her friends had been socialising at the home of one of their group. She clarified that she had not invited the attacker’s daughter to join them; rather, a friend had ridden over to her house on a motorcycle and brought her to the gathering.

The victim insisted that she tried to explain the truth to the attacker, but her pleas went unheard as the assault continued. As a result, she sustained wounds and bruises across her body.
The victim’s mother expressed her outrage in an interview with news agencies, questioning how the attacker would feel if her daughter were treated in the same way.

The mother also revealed that the attacker contacted her to apologise, claiming that she had lost control and acted out of anger. However, the mother maintained that she would not agree to a compromise and was determined to pursue the case to the fullest extent.
The attacker later spoke to Naewna, expressing remorse for her actions and stating that she intended to arrange a meeting with the victim’s family to apologise to them in person soon.
