Gambling habit ends with an unlucky draw
CHANTHABURI: Prajum Noikul, 39, liked gambling. Her husband, Saichol, was getting tired of it. It infuriated him to see her wasting her time and his money. On October 10, his fury boiled over. In a bid to make his wife understand that he really didn’t like her gambling, Saichol, 39, took out his 9-mm handgun. He pointed the gun at the heavens and pulled the trigger. The first five shots went, with great accuracy and a satisfying amount of noise, into the sky. That got her attention. But, Saichol later explained to police, after five shots, his arm became tired and his aim was less sure. The sixth shot missed the sky and hit his wife plumb in the forehead, killing her instantly, while the seventh lodged itself in the arm of a neighbor, Prasarn Thara. Not prepared to gamble on his chances of evading the law, Saichol turned himself in.
