Let’s ‘Run 2 Gether’ on October 1

‘Run 2 Gether Phuket Town’ is the very first event combining able-bodied and disabled runners to be held in Phuket on October 1, 2017. It will be a Fun Run/Walk of 3.3 Kilometres around Phuket Town with the first 900 registered to receive a Shirt and Medal.

It starts at 5am in the morning and will start and finish outside Limelight Avenue shopping centre.

The unique aspect of this event is that participations will be running together as a pair – the first 250 registered will be a guide runner that will run together with a disabled participant. The guide runner will be the chaperone of a disables person – they could be blind, deaf, in a wheelchair. Everyone else will team up with a friend or other runner with same Bib or Running Number.

The objectives of the event are to encourage disabled people to participate in regular exercise and to motivate them to to leave their homes and participate in society as equals.
