100,000 methamphetamine pills seized in Krabi
Krabi police have seized more than 100,000 methamphetamine pills and a Mercedes Benz car. The total items seized are valued at more than 20 million baht.
Krabi Police this week have arrested three suspects, 34 year old Somchai ‘Mhee’ Krueawang with his wife 30 year old Panumart Rakmueang, and 39 year old Anan Jindawong.
Police seized 120,317 methamphetamine pills and 949.3 grams (nearly a kilogram) of crystal methamphetamine, a Mercedes Benz, a Honda car and a motorbike. The total items seized cost up to 20 million Bhat.
They have been charged with illegal possession of Category 1 Drugs with intent to sell. Police say they have admitted to the charge.
The arrest follows police having arrested Apichart Klongmodkan and Jeerawat Janchaikaew at a resort in Ao Nang. Police seized 1,016 methamphetamine pills and 160.9 grams of crystal methamphetamine at the time. They told police they bought the drugs from Somchai.
