Man dies in motorcycle crash with roadside bin, daughter devastated
A heart-wrenching tragedy unfolded when a man died after his motorcycle collided with a roadside bin. The incident, which occurred at 1pm yesterday, December 29, left his daughter devastated. Earlier that morning, he had made a seemingly ominous comment about buying something for her if he survived the day.
Police officers from Klong Ha Police Station, led by Police Lieutenant Phonkrit Kerdchai, received a report about a motorcycle accident on the eastern side of Road Klong Six in Pathum Thani province. The accident claimed the life of 40 year old Pan, whose body was discovered beside a house along the road.
Near the scene, a mango tree displayed signs of impact, and a damaged waste bin was found. The blue and black Honda Wave motorcycle, registered in Bangkok, lay overturned and wrecked.
The homeowner, where the motorcycle had crashed, stated that no one was present during the incident. A neighbour had informed them of the accident and the fatality, prompting them to rush to the scene.
Pan’s daughter, 17 year old Aphatsara, was left heartbroken by the loss of her father. She shared that her father was an automobile mechanic and had visited her earlier to discuss her studies and some educational supplies.
He had remarked that he would buy them if he survived the day, an eerie premonition of the tragedy that was to follow, reported KhaoSod.
“He said he would buy me the things I needed if he wasn’t dead,” she recounted tearfully, unable to comprehend the sudden loss.
Pol Lt. Phonkrit, after assessing the scene, documented the incident with photographic evidence. The Pao Teck Tung Foundation staff were instructed to transport the body to Thammasat University Hospital’s forensic department for further examination.
