Super League footballer arrested for injuring girlfriend in hotel row

A Super League football player was taken into custody following an alleged altercation with his girlfriend in a Petaling Jaya hotel room. The incident was reported to the police by the victim, a local woman, who sustained injuries during the dispute and had her mobile phone damaged.

Petaling Jaya police chief Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid confirmed that the authorities were alerted at 6am yesterday. He explained that the disagreement between the couple had resulted in harm to the victim and the destruction of her phone. The suspect was apprehended at the hotel in question to aid the ongoing investigation.

The football player has since been released on police bail, and the case is being examined under Section 323/427 of the Penal Code, which pertains to causing injury and committing mischief.
