Phuket Peeping Tom escapes lynching, abandons panties (video)
A Thai man involved in a Peeping Tom incident in Phuket narrowly avoided being lynched. He fled the scene, leaving behind his motorcycle and several items, including women’s underwear, condoms, a cucumber, and drug paraphernalia.
Another Thai man shared the incident on social media, which occurred at approximately 10.45pm on Wednesday, July 31, to warn locals in the Pa Klock sub-district, Thalang district of Phuket. The man explained that he and his friends witnessed the Peeping Tom peering into a woman’s bathroom.
The woman shouted for help, and her mother sought assistance from the man and his friends who gathered outside the victim’s home. The man uploaded a video of the confrontation with the suspect in the post.
In the video, locals pressured the suspect to confess but he denied any wrongdoing. He claimed he had no ill intentions and was simply searching for a bathroom because he needed to relieve himself. Despite his pleas for understanding, the group found his explanations unconvincing.
Suddenly, one man punched the suspect in the face, prompting him to ask for a chance to explain. While he was speaking, another man kicked him in the neck and continued to assault him until he fled, leaving his motorbike behind.
Some netizens argued that, regardless of his actions, the man should not have been attacked and should have been handed over to the police. The person who shared the video defended himself and his friends, suggesting that those critics would have reacted similarly if it had been their loved ones involved.
A police officer later arrived to investigate the suspect’s vehicle. Police and locals found a cucumber and condoms in the motorcycle basket, women’s underwear in a plastic bag, and drug tools in a black bag.
The police have not yet located the suspect and did not disclose further details about their investigation.
In a related report last month, a Thai man attempted to sexually assault a woman using a petrol station bathroom in the Isaan province of Khon Kaen. He climbed into the toilet and threatened her with a Stanley knife. Fortunately, the woman escaped unharmed.
