Ya bah bust next to police station

CHALONG: Three men were arrested on Saturday for possession of ya bah (methamphetamine) at a house just 100 meters from Chalong Police Station. Pol Capt Chokchai Suttimek of the Chalong station told the Gazette that an unidentified man called the police and told them that a ya bah deal was going to take place at Ao Chalong Bungalow. Officers strode over to watch Piror Oudlum who, according to the informant, would be the seller. “Chokchai Iyaratthanarak and Chaiporn Klasuek arrived at around 9:15 pm and bought ya bah from Piror,” said Capt Chokchai. After the transaction, the police identified themselves and made the arrests. The three men were searched and police found 170 tablets of ya bah in Piror’s possession. Chokchai had 10. Piror was arrested for possession of ya bah with intent to sell. Chokchai and Chaiporn were charged with possession of ya bah with intent to use. The three are in custody at Phuket Provincial Prison.
