Rock Hard dancer murdered

PATONG: Police are hunting the ex-boyfriend of a go-go girl from Rock Hard after she was found stabbed to death with a peeling knife. Pranee Asasri, 41, from Mukdaharn, was found dead at 2 am on August 23 by her niece, Pachanee Rattabhat, 22, who went to the victim’s rented room after she had failed to turn up for work for two days. K. Pranee had been stabbed in the stomach, chest, and neck. Gold necklaces, a gold bracelet, a stereo set and a mobile phone had vanished. A peeling knife was on the floor. K. Pachanee told Kathu police that she was called by a workmate of K. Pranee after her aunt had not been to Rock Hard for two days. Outside her aunt’s room, K. Pachanee heard the sound of the TV inside, so she asked the landlord to open the door and found her aunt’s body on a bed. Pol Capt Sa-nguan Mungthum, Inspecting Officer at Kathu Police Station, said K. Pranee’s former boyfriend, a Thai named James, had recently asked her if they could get back together. He had been working in the Bangla area but police think he has probably now fled Phuket. “It is possible that James came to see her, then killed her and tried to obscure the motive by stealing her belongings,” Capt Sa-nguan said. “We hope to find him very soon.”
