PEA announces more long term blackouts
PHUKET: The Phuket Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) has announced yet another disheartening wave of blackouts to carry out maintenance work on high-voltage power lines from November 17-27, confirmed PEA staff member Veera Rairub.
“We are sorry for any inconvenience. However, this is our ‘monthly checkup and maintenance period’ and these power outages are necessary in order to continue to provide exceptional service [sic] to our customers,” Mr Veera Rairub said.
The blackouts are scheduled to shut down businesses and plague households from 9am to 4pm, as follows:
November 17: Chalong on parts of Khwang Road; east side of Chao Fa West Road; Moo Baan Thinawut; Moo Baan Baiyok; Phuket Villa 2 and 7; and Soi Boonlert
November 19: Wichit at the Mueng Thong junction; Soi Luk Mueng; Moo Baan Hok Huat; Moo Baan Irawadee 1 and 2; Soi Mali; Soi Sanfuengfu; Moo Baan Suksabai; and Moo Baan Kharuehat Thani
November 24: Parts of Chao Fa East Road; Phuket Villa California; and Sri Moommueng market
November 25: West side of Chao Fa West Road; Soi Anusorn 200 Pi; and Chao Fa Garden Home 5 near the King Power construction
November 26: Soi Thanit to Sakdidet Road; Soi Thanitturakit; Soi Saokem; Soi Kaona; Soi Ruamsin; Moo Baan Netthip; Soi Udomsuk; and Soi Pek Hok Cheng
November 27: Sapam School area; west side of Thepkasattri Road; Sapam market; and Soi Koh Kaew 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 to the Bang Khu junction.
