Open house to be held by Phuket Homeschooling Network

PHUKET: The Phuket Homeschool Network will be staging an all day open house at Rajabhat Univeristy’s Arts and Cultural Center on January 24 to present the achievements of the homeschooling network throughout the island.
The event aims to present an alternative education system to the public and display the achievements of homeschooled children, explained Pakawan Chaimaneekorn, representative of Phuket Homeschool Network.
“We also aim to assess evaluation methods in homeschooling education and strengthen relationships among students, their families and organizations involved,” Ms Pakawan said.
The open house will feature performances and exhibitions by homeschooled children, as well as academic presentations on optional education systems by multiple experts, including Samran Chaisawat, Phuket Rajabhat University director of Arts and Cultural Center.
Foreigners interested in joining the event are urged to contact event organizers ahead of time so that translation arrangements can be made.
