Major Phuket blackouts announced
PHUKET: The Phuket Provincial Electricity Authority (PPEA) has announced three scheduled blackouts to affect Chao Fa East and Chao Fa West Roads in Chalong – two of the busiest roads in the south of the island.
Power supply along these roads will be shut off in order to carry out maintenance on high voltage power lines, install new lines and move power poles.
The blackouts will affect following areas as follows:
December 14, 9am to 4pm:
Luang Por Chuan Road, from the TOT office on Chao Fa West Rd to Phuket Country Home on Luang Por Chaem Road, including Moo Baan Chanakan, Moo Baan Inter Villa 2, Luang Pho Chaem Road, and the Nanthawan 2, Seevalee 2, Laddawan 2 and Parichart developments in Land & House Park Phuket.
December 15, 9am to 4pm:
East side of Chao Fa West Road, from the PPEA electrical substation to Wat Chalong, including Soi Na Yai, Moo Baan Tsai Thong, some parts of Luang Por Chaem Road and Chalong Living Home housing estate.
December 21, 9am to 4pm:
East side of Chao Fa West Road, from Wat Chalong to Soi Tharn-Namjai, including Soi Mae Lamai and the Chaiyapruek, Laddawan, Seevalee 2, Munthana and Prueksachart Lake View developments in Land & House Park Phuket.
West side of Chao Fa West Road, from opposite Wat Chalong to Soi Baan Klang, including Soi Glum Yang.
