“Panumas Nukuea, one of the vendors, has stated that locals can’t compete with the prices that Supercheap offers its customers and that they will not be able to earn any money if a store opens here,” village head Prasert Ruangdam told the Phuket Gazette.
Mr Prasert added that the locals will also file a complaint with the Dhamrongtham Center (Ombudsman’s office) in order to find a solution.
