JSSL Arsenal soccer school returning to Phuket

PHUKET: THE JSSL Arsenal soccer school is returning to Phuket for the third year in a row for the annual Phuket 7s Tournament.

Over 220 parents and children are expected to travel to Phuket with the Singapore-based soccer school this December.

The tournament, for local and international teams alike, will kick off on December 12.
JSSL Arsenal is Singapore’s largest soccer school, with over 800 students. It is affiliated with Arsenal FC in the UK.

The tournament will take place at the British International School and local teams are welcome to join up free of charge.

The tournament gets underway at 11am, although teams are advised to turn up at least half an hour early to register.

All players who take part will receive a medal, and all games will be refereed.
There will be competitions for five different age groups: Under 7s, Under 9s, Under 11s, Under 15s and Over 15s.

On December 11, they will warm up with friendly matches against the British International School and on Sunday the JSSL Arsenal Phuket 7s will start.

Last year there were teams from Singapore and Beijing competing with local Phuket teams.

“We encourage many local teams to come and enjoy themselves at what has become a yearly fun tournament. Phuket has now become a second home for JSSL Arsenal” said Harvey Davis, managing director of JSSL Arsenal.
