Andaman Travel Trade show starts tomorrow

PHUKET CITY: The 4th Andaman Travel Trade (ATT) show starts tomorrow at the convention area on the first floor of Central Festival Phuket.

With the tagline ‘Three Destinations – 1,000 Activities’, the fair aims to promote tourism-related business throughout the Andaman coastal region.

Representatives from more than 120 organizations will take part, including 75 from Phuket, 15 from Phang Nga and 30 from Krabi.

Phuket Tourist Association (PTA) President Somboon Jirayus hopes the event will help promote tourism to the international community, resulting in an increase in visitor numbers in upcoming years.

“We would especially love to expand and promote to new markets in Russia, China, India, and Europe,” he told the Gazette.

The event is sponsored by the PTA in cooperation with Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization (PPAO), Thai Hotel Association Southern Chapter, The Tourism Authority of Thailand and Thai Airways International.

Anyone interested in learning more about business and tourism opportunities in the Andaman region is welcome to attend Saturday and Sunday, from 9am to 5pm.
