And the winners of the Boat Show lucky draw are…
PHUKET: This year’s edition of the annual Phuket boat show (PIMEX), which closed late yesterday, offered solid testimony to the improving global economy and the renewed vibrance of the marine leisure industry in Asia, particularly at its hub – Phuket.
Full car parks, full restaurants and lots of action in the booths and berths at the Royal Phuket Marina – every day throughout the four-day event – spoke well of the health of yachting on the island.
Among the many highlights of the show were the daily lucky draws for free scenic flights over Phuket, sponsored by the Phuket Gazette and Phuket Airpark. And the winners, each of whom will fly aboard News Dog, the Gazette‘s new single-engine aircraft, are as follows:
- Sergey Nesterenko, developer of Vista del Mar, Phuket
- Simon Lints, Director, International Wealth Management, Credit Suisse, Singapore
- Suna Thawarosakul, Phuket
- Irina Kiseleva, Manager, Five Star Sea Cruises, Phuket
The 45-minute flights will take off from the grass strip at Phuket Airpark and the winners will decide where to go – over their home, office, Phang Nga Bay, marinas, beaches, golf courses or elsewhere.
The winners are asked to contact Gazette Events Manager Kanjana ‘Jane’ Sriboonsom to book their flights, which can take place anytime between February 1 and mid-March. Tel: 076-273555 or 081-550 7379, or email jane@phuketgazette.net
The flights are transferable to a friend in the event a winner does not wish to take it.
Anyone who did not win in the PIMEX lucky draws, but who might wish to experience the joy of a private flight over Phuket, is welcome to contact the owner of Phuket Airpark, Robert Suchard Raksangob (081-8104510) or, for Russian language, Andreas Salov (094-3862294).
