AccorHotels acquires DoubleTree Resort in Surin
PHUKET: AccorHotels announced on April 1 its expanded partnership with Destination Resorts Co Ltd to take over management of DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hotel Phuket Surin Beach.
Under the new management deal, the resort has now been re-branded as Novotel Phuket Surin Beach Resort, bringing to eight the number of AccorHotels managed by Novotel Resorts in Thailand.
“The Novotel brand, which is AccorHotels’ oldest and most recognized in Thailand, continues to appeal to travellers, particularly those with families,” said Patrick Basset, COO AccorHotels Upper Southeast and Northeast Asia.
Four other Novotel properties are currently in the pipeline for Thailand, including Novotel Phuket Phokeethra, which is scheduled to open in the second half of this year.
“We are pleased to expand our partnership with AccorHotels. The success of our other Novotel resorts gives us great confidence in the future of Novotel Phuket Surin Beach Resort,” said Gary Murray, CEO of Destination Resorts.
“The resort will be the third property managed by AccorHotels in partnership with Destination Resorts.”
Novotel Phuket Surin Beach Resort features 254 rooms and suites, two restaurants, a poolside bar and a kids’ club, among other facilities. Conference facilities are available in a meeting room that accommodates up to 40 guests.
