Upon their arrival, police officers discovered a medium-sized Isuzu truck overturned, blocking the road. This incident forced traffic into a single lane, causing a backlog that extended for several kilometres. The driver of the truck, Damrong Phomrat, sustained injuries and was promptly taken to a nearby hospital by the rescue team.

Oil and cement spilt from the truck, spreading across the roadway and adding to the chaos. Rescue workers swiftly initiated efforts to clear the debris and restore the road to a safe condition.

Despite the severity of the accident, there were no eyewitnesses present at the time. Investigators plan to examine CCTV footage in hopes of uncovering the events leading to the truck’s overturning.

“We need to thoroughly review the footage to determine exactly what had happened.”

The incident highlights the challenges faced by emergency services in managing traffic disruptions, especially on a major route like Sukhumvit Road. As the investigation progresses, police aim to understand the factors contributing to the accident to prevent similar occurrences in the future, reported Pattaya News.
