A Thai woman sought help from social media influencer Guntouch “Gun” Pongpaiboonwet after being subjected to a year-long brutal assault when she attempted to break up with her unfaithful bigamist boyfriend, who had two other wives and four children.

Gun, along with Public Health Minister advisor Thanakrit Jitareerat, protected the 29 year old woman, Phanurat, who fled from her violent boyfriend’s clutches in Rayong province to Chon Buri.

Phanurat explained that she had been in a relationship with her boyfriend for a year before discovering that he was involved with two other women and had four children with them. She tried to end the relationship but her boyfriend refused to let her go.

According to Phanurat, her partner subjected her to unimaginable terror. He had previously held a gun to her head, threatened to stab her, cut her face with broken glass, suffocated her with a pillow, strangled her with a chain, and brutally assaulted her in various ways.

In a disturbing act of cruelty, the attacker forced Phanurat to call her family members and leave a final goodbye message, making them fear for her life. She had to beg for her life, promising not to break up with him to survive.

Recently, her boyfriend requested to bring another woman from Kanchanaburi province to live with them in Rayong but Phanurat refused. This refusal led to more severe beatings until she managed to escape and hide in a rented room in the Sattahip district of Chon Buri.

Tragically, her relentless boyfriend tracked her down, assaulted her again, and confiscated her mobile phone to prevent her from seeking help.

The case was handed over to officers at Sattahip Police Station, who questioned the victim yesterday and took her to a hospital for examination. Police planned to issue an arrest warrant and apprehend the attacker by today, September 30.

Channel 3 reported that Phanurat’s boyfriend owns a small business that buys waste from factories for recycling. The man reportedly remains at large, as the police have not yet provided any updates on the case.
