The Teachers’ Council of Thailand banned a teacher from her profession after she livestreamed under her skirt while teaching children at a primary school in the central province of Lopburi.

A Facebook news page, Esor News 3, shared a screenshot of the Bigo Live application video of the teacher in class on Thursday, June 27, with the caption: “What do you think of her intention? What’s this teacher’s intention?”

The image showed the teacher opening a book and teaching her students during the livestream. The woman, who was wearing a skirt, then spread her legs to show off her underwear.

In Bigo Live, viewers and followers can send gifts to a streamer if they like the livestream video. The gift could later be exchanged for money. The screenshot shows that many of the teacher’s followers sent her gifts and commented on her livestream video.

The teacher’s identity has not been made public but Matichon reported that she taught at the Ban Bua Chum School in Lopburi province. She had been seen wearing revealing clothes in other videos and had started livestreaming videos in the classroom a few times before.

The school’s director assured Matichon that the school had issued a warning to the trainee teacher and ended her training at the school on June 28.

The story went viral on Thai social media, prompting the Teachers’ Council of Thailand to investigate the case further. The council’s secretary, Amonwan Veeradhammo, told PPTV HD that they had decided to ban the teacher for life.

Amonwan explained that the teacher’s actions violated Section 44 of the Teachers and Educational Personnel Council Act: being a person with dishonourable behaviour or lacking good morals.
