Somkid came forward to clarify the matter, stating that he did indeed speak on the stage in 2017. when he was serving as the Superintendent of Investigations for Saraburi Provincial Police.

Somkid explained that he was not a member of the iCon Group, as reported by the news page. Instead, he was a member of a direct selling company called Jeunesse Global. He clarified that the iCon Group was merely the event organiser for Jeunesse Global at the time.

Somkid revealed that he was the team leader and had more than 100 members in his team, most of whom were police officers and relatives.

The police officer insisted that he had no intention of damaging the reputation of the RTP and was simply sharing his experience. His speech aimed to highlight the benefits of being a team leader under Jeunesse Global and to demonstrate that police officers could also have part-time jobs.

Somkid also emphasised that he did not know the CEO or other leading members of the iCon Group and only worked with Jeunesse Global for about a year before resigning due to the demands of his full-time police duties.

Somkid stated that he would not pursue legal action against the news page or anyone who shared his video but simply wanted his family members, relatives, friends, colleagues, and superiors to understand his position.
