Na Jomtien Municipality Kindergarten in Sattahip is sending six young athletes to the provincial balance bike competition in Chon Buri province, celebrating His Royal Majesty the King’s birthday.

The competition will take place from July 26 to 27 at the National Sports University Chon Buri District College, covering a distance of 400 metres.

The atmosphere buzzed with excitement at the Na Jomtien Subdistrict Municipality Kindergarten as Tattarat Manrod, the kindergarten school director, and teachers gathered with children from levels one to three for practice. The young athletes were cheered on enthusiastically by their peers, reflecting the communal support for the event.

Na Jomtien Subdistrict Mayor Rapeepan Ratanaliam highlighted the significance of the initiative. The municipality is sending six early childhood athletes as part of the Balance Bike Competition Project. This project aligns with the celebrations for His Royal Majesty the King’s birthday on July 28.

The event aims to promote physical activity among young children, encouraging constructive use of free time and fostering a love for exercise. This initiative is crucial for early childhood development, instilling healthy habits and the importance of physical fitness from a young age.

The bike competition is not just about winning but also about participation and the joy of movement. The children’s excitement and dedication during practices are a testament to their enthusiasm and the supportive environment fostered by the kindergarten and the community, Mayor Rapeepan said.

“We are thrilled to see our young athletes taking part in this significant event. This competition is an excellent opportunity for them to showcase their skills and enjoy the spirit of friendly competition.”

The multi-purpose building of the National Sports University Chon Buri District College will host the event, providing a suitable venue for young competitors. The 400-metre distance is challenging enough to test the children’s abilities while ensuring it is appropriate for their age and skill level, reported Pattaya News.
