Meth dealer crashes into car of Thai actress’ mother in Phitsanulok
A dramatic car chase unfolded in Phitsanulok as police chased a suspected drug dealer. Despite having his car tyres punctured by armed police, the suspect continued to flee, eventually colliding with a vehicle belonging to the mother of Thai actress Tukk Lila.
The suspect was eventually apprehended, and a large quantity of methamphetamine was discovered.
The incident occurred at 2pm yesterday, January 7 when investigative officers from Mueang Phitsanulok Police Station pursued the suspect on Phaya Suea Road.
The suspect, driving a black Suzuki Swift with the licence plate ขข 7963 Phitsanulok, attempted to escape at high speed. Armed police took aim at the vehicle’s tyres, causing the suspect to lose control and crash into the rear of a white Toyota Fortuner with the licence plate กว 687 Phitsanulok.
The damaged vehicle belonged to 70 year old Ketsakorn Sripimlak, mother of actress Tukk Siriporn Youyod and mother-in-law of comedian Nui Chern-yim.
A photo of the couple, alongside a message reading “Sharing kindness for the needy,” was displayed on the car. The suspect was unable to continue the escape and was apprehended by the police, subsequently being taken for questioning at Mueang Phitsanulok Police Station.
During the investigation, it was confirmed that Tukk’s mother and the driver were unharmed, although the suspect’s vehicle bore severe damage on the left side and a shredded right tyre, a result of driving on the rim. The car was taken to the police station for forensic examination to assess the collision damage.
Police Colonel Thatchapong Wongpattananiwas, chief of Mueang Phitsanulok Police Station, explained that the officers had been tracking the suspect in connection with a drug case. Upon attempting to raid the suspect’s home, the suspect managed to flee by car.
The officers pursued and eventually stopped the vehicle by shooting the tyres, leading to the suspect’s capture. A search of the car revealed a quantity of methamphetamine.
Police will follow standard procedures to provide compensation to the victims involved, reported KhaoSod.
