A teenager became the victim of an assault by three friends, who forced her to kneel and apologise, before trapping her in a home. The altercation stemmed from a seemingly harmless message exchange between her and an ex-boyfriend of one of her friends.

At 5pm yesterday, July 12, the 18 year old, referred to as A, filed a complaint with Police Lieutenant Sombat Saeng-In at the Bang Bua Thong Police Station in Nonthaburi. She reported that she was physically assaulted by three female friends, in an incident that took place on July 2 in a village in Phimonrat, Bang Bua Thong district.

A recounted the ordeal, stating that her friends, Earn, Eye, and Cartoon, who all lived in the same house, attacked her. The reason behind the assault stemmed from an interaction with Earn’s ex-boyfriend. The ex-boyfriend had messaged A, inquiring about Earn’s whereabouts and work.

Unaware of the tension this would cause, A responded to his questions, which led to Earn’s displeasure. Previously, in mid-June, A had been assaulted by Earn alone due to a misunderstanding but she did not press charges at the time.

However, the most recent attack was more severe. A described how the three friends collectively assaulted her by slapping, kicking, and stomping on her for over five minutes. Earn even forced her to kneel and apologise. Following the assault, A was confined to the house and not allowed to leave.

Upon her escape sought refuge with a senior acquaintance in Pathum Thani before reporting the incident to the police. He expressed her confusion and distress over the situation.

“I want to understand why they had to gang up on me like this. Why couldn’t we talk it out properly? Why didn’t they listen to reason first? I only had an issue with Earn, so why did the other two have to join in?”

She firmly stated her intention to see the matter through legally, emphasising her resolve to seek justice for the assault she endured, reported KhaoSod.
