A 23 year old French woman has filed an official complaint with the Surat Thani police. She claims that 350 euros in cash were stolen from her bag aboard a bus from Bangkok to Koh Phangan (part of the journey is a ferry trip to the island).
‘Nadia’ filed the complaint at the Muang Surat Thani police station at 6am this morning.
She reported that her money was stolen aboard the Tour 30 bus of Monthanathip And Travel Company, which left Khao San Road in Bangkok at 6.30pm last night (Monday).
The tourist says when she got off the bus to catch the ferry boat to Koh Phangan today, she found her cash had gone. She claims she saw a bus worker search passengers’ bags late at night when most were asleep, but could not remember which worker.
Police will summon the bus driver and his helpers for questioning.
