Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) officers arrested a Thai woman on Rama II Road in Samut Sakhon province near Bangkok on November 11 for stealing a taxi after the driver refused to have sex with her.

The taxi driver filed a complaint at Thayang Police Station in the southern province of Phetchaburi after his female passenger stole his vehicle. The driver recounted that the woman, later identified as 38 year old Jirat, hired him for a round trip from Bangkok to Phetchaburi province for 3,000 baht on November 10.

When arriving at a hotel in Phetchaburi, Jirat expressed her interest in him and wanted to have sex but he refused. Jirat reluctantly gave up and asked him to pick her up the following day, November 11.

On the way to Bangkok, the driver said he needed to use a bathroom and stopped at a petrol station. He completed his task and went out to find that his car had vanished, guessing Jirat was the thief. The driver speculated that Jirat could have stolen his car and belongings the night before if he had agreed to sleep with her.
