Krabi granny still going strong at 111 years old
Krabi Governor, Pol Lt Col ML Kitibodhi Prawit, along with Krabi authorities and Krabi Red Cross, visited a local resident, Pliew Petchpuang who is 111 years old, to greet and grant her with New Year gifts today (February 6).
The Chief of Krabi Office of Social Development and Human Security, Kitti Intarakul, who also went to visit the old lady, said that his office made a search for citizens who are over than 100 years old and found that she is the oldest. She was born in 1907, which was during the era of King Rama 5.
They were welcomed with a smile at the front of the house. The 111 year old lady was still walking without a walking stick and is still healthy. Her eyes are working fine, here hearing is OK and can communicate well with people. She is living with her family, who are taking good care of her.
She gave the visitors a few tips on how to live a long life recommending her daily consumption of mainly vegetable and chili paste. She always tries to avoid eating meat and always stays active and does everything on her own as much as possible. She also blessed the team for good health and longevity. Before they left to visit another citizen who is over 100 years old, the lady escorted the Governor back to his car.
