ATM theft gone wrong in Krabi

Two thieves tried to steal an ATM by dragging it with a pickup truck last night (February 25) in Krabi.
An ATM at an SCB bank was found damaged and removed about 1 metre away from its housing next to the bank.
After checking the CCTV camera, police saw that two people tied up the ATM machine with a sling, connecting it to their pickup truck and drag the machine away, aiming to steal it. Their attempts to drag the machine away failed so they tried to break into it and get the cash out, also to no avail.
They finally decided to flee and left the machine damaged at the scene.
Police are checking the CCTV camera from the shops and along the road nearby to check for the pickup truck license plate.
