In the coming days, Pattaya and Thailand’s eastern region are expected to experience hot weather with haze and occasional thundershowers. In various areas, very hot conditions are predicted, with thundershowers likely to occur in Prachinburi, Chanthaburi, Chon Buri (Pattaya), and Trat. Residents can expect minimum temperatures of 26 to 30 degrees Celsius and maximum temperatures of 35-40°C. Southwesterly winds of 10 to 30 kilometres per hour are also anticipated, with wave heights remaining below 1 metre, though waves could reach higher than 1 metre during thundershowers.

The overall weather forecast predicts hot and hazy conditions throughout today, accompanied by isolated thundershowers and gusty winds. Minimum temperatures will range from 25 to 29°C, while maximum temperatures could reach 34 to 40°C. Southwesterly winds of 10 to 30 kilometres per hour are predicted, with wave heights remaining below 1 metre, though occasionally exceeding 1 metre during thundershowers.

From May 8 to 10 (tomorrow until Wednesday), the days will remain hot, but scattered thunderstorms with gusty winds and hail will be the norm. Minimum temperatures will range between 22 to 27°C, and maximum temperatures will be between 31-38°C. Southwesterly winds of 15 to 30 kilometres per hour can be expected, with wave heights around 1 metre and up to 2 metres during thundershowers.

Between May 11 to 12, the weather will experience occasional thundershowers, with minimum temperatures of 22 to 26°C and maximum temperatures between 30 to 35°C. Southwesterly winds of 15-30 km/hr are also predicted, as well as wave heights of one metre, rising to 2 metres during thundershowers.

A heat low is currently affecting upper Thailand, causing hot and hazy conditions during the day. Many areas in the region are experiencing extremely high temperatures. Southwesterly winds are prevalent throughout the country, with isolated thundershowers and gusty winds expected in the upper part of Thailand. People are advised to exercise caution during these adverse weather conditions, Pattaya Mail reported.

During this time, northwesterly and southwesterly winds are also crossing the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand, which results in thundershowers in the south. In both the Gulf and the Andaman Sea, wave heights are below 1 metre, although they may rise to more than 1 metre during thundershowers.

From 8 to 10 May, a moderate high-pressure system from China will affect upper Thailand and the South China Sea. This weather pattern will result in easterly and southeasterly winds, bringing humidity from the Gulf of Thailand and the South China Sea to the upper part of the country, causing hot and very hot conditions. Consequently, there is a likelihood of summer storms with thunderstorms, strong winds, and hail in some places. First affecting the northeast, these storms may later impact the rest of the region, with the risk of lightning strikes also present.
