Heavy rains, thundershowers predicted nationwide
Thailand’s Meteorological Department says a low pressure cell is covering the upper Bay of Bengal, and the strong southwest monsoon across the Andaman Sea and Thailand is becoming stronger. Continuous rains are predicted across much of the country today, especially in the afternoon, with isolated heavy rains in some areas. People in the North, the East and the South are urged to prepare for severe conditions that may cause flash floods.
“Shipping in the Andaman Sea should proceed with caution and keep away from thundershowers.”
Here are the forecasts for the next 24 hours around Thailand…
Northern region
Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60% of the areas and isolated heavy rains; lows of 24-26°C and highs of 36-38°C.
Northeastern region
Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 40% of the areas and isolated heavy rains; lows of 23-25°C and highs of 33-36°C.
Central region
Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60% of the areas and isolated heavy rains; lows of 23-25°C, highs of 35-37°C.
Eastern region
Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 70% of the areas and isolated heavy rains; lows of 24-27°C, highs of 31-35°C; waves 1-2 metres high and 2 metres during thundershowers.
Southern region (east coast)
Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60% of the areas and isolated heavy rains; lows of 24-25°C, highs of 32-36°C; waves a metre high and 2 metres during thundershowers.
Southern region (west coast)
Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 70% of the areas and isolated heavy rains; lows of 22-25°C, highs of 30-33°C; waves 1-2 metres high and 2 metres during thundershowers.

Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60% of the areas and isolated heavy rains; lows of 24-26°C, highs of 32-37 degrees °C.
